Glo drops Wizkid, Wande Coal as ambassadors, picks Timaya
The pair of Wizkid and Wande Coal have both been dropped as ambassadors of telecoms giant Globacom while ‘I concur’ crooner Enetimi Odon aka Timaya has now been appointed as a brand new ambassador for the mobile phone service providers.
Timaya now joins other ambassadors such as Basketmouth, Bovi, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Patience Ozokwor, Omawumi, Ego Ogbaro, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari and MI who were listed by Globacom on Friday.
While explaining Timaya’s inclusion, the company noted that Timaya is a role model to millions of Nigerian youths especially in the South South of Nigeria, a fact that led to him being made an ambassador.
Recall that Globacom earlier denied dropping the pair of P Square owing to an acrimonious family feud which dragged on for months.
“We have not disengaged P-Square or any of our other ambassadors. We are currently in the process of reviewing our contracts with the brand ambassadors,” the statement by Glo read in part at the time.

Congrats to Timaya, the guy deserves it. It’s long overdue. For wizkid the guy is barely in the country so the contract with Glo is just a waste of money

This telecommunications firms won’t stop lavishing money on the rift rafts of the society. Because I see those musicians as nuisance.
