Global coronavirus cases near 2m as Russia records daily rise
The Johns Hopkins University has reported a total of 1.98 million people infected with the deadly covid-19 virus and at least 127,601 deaths worldwide.
Meanwhile, Russia’s covid-19 cases as at Wednesday hit 3,388 bringing Its overall tally to 24,490 and 198 deaths by an overnight rise of 28.
Although Russia has recorded comparatively few cases so far compared with the United States or other worst hit European countries, the number of confirmed cases has continued to surge in recent days.

On Monday, Russia reported a 2,558 rise in coronvirus cases within 24 hours.
