Golden Eaglets to play Tanzania, Uganda, Angola in 2019 U-17 AFCON

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Tanzania, Uganda and Angola at the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)

The draw for the biennial competition took place on Thursday at the Mlimani City Conference Centre, Dar Es Salam.

Guinea who finished third at the last edition of the competition are in Group B with Morocco, Senegal and Cameroon.

Defending champions, Mali and second placed team from the last edition, Ghana failed to qualify for the competition.

The top two teams in each group will proceed to the semi-final stage of the competition.

The competition will run from April 14 to April 28 in Tanzania in 2019.

The top four teams will represent Africa at the 2019 U-17 FIFA World Cup in Peru in October.
