Gov Nwifuru suspends 4th commissioner in Ebonyi

The Ebonyi state Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has suspended the state’s Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Matters, Uchenna Igwe, for alleged misconduct.

Igwe was suspended indefinitely for alleged dereliction of duty.

The governor confirmed the commissioner’s suspension to journalists at his office, New Government, Ochudo Centenary City in Abakaliki on Monday.

Igwe is the fourth commissioner suspended by the governor for gross misconduct in the last few weeks.

Governor Nwifuru had last month suspended the trio of health, water resources, and housing and urban development commissioners from the state executive council.
