Gov Obiano begs ex Gov Obi for forgiveness

The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has extended an olive branch to his predecessor, and benefactor, Mr Peter Obi.

He called on Obi to forgive him for any wrong he must have done to him.

He spoke at the funeral mass service held in honour of the first African Principal of Christ the King College, (CKC) Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Nicholas Chukwuemeka Tagbo, held in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The who spoke while delivering an eulogy on the late principal, said: “May I use this opportunity that Fr. Tagbo is here to ask my brother and friend, Chief Peter Obi if there is any wrong that I have done to you please forgive”

Responding, Obi said that as a Christian, he was under obligation to forgive whenever there was cause to. He pledged his total support to the administration in its efforts to build a better Anambra for the younger generation.

During his ministration, Bishop Maja Umeh prayed, blessed them and declared: “Going on now…Total reconciliation of Gov. Obiano and Peter Obi”

Father Tagbo, died at the age of 87 on July 2nd was buried on Thursday, after a Mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha.

The two men had been in a quiet feud, since Obi handed over power in the state to Obiano.
