Gov Sani appoints new commissioners, others in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has appointed Ibrahim Tanko Mohamed as the state’s Commissioner for Finance.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Musa, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Kaduna, said his principal also appointed a former Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. James Atung Kanyip, as the new Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.

Mr. Barde Yunana Markus was appointed the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.

The CPS said the new appointments were to re-energise the government and enhance service delivery in the state.

Other appointees are:

· Farida Abubakar Ahmed – Executive Director (Radio), Kaduna State Media Corporation.

· Vitus Azuka Ewuzie – Senior Special Assistant, Legal Matters.

· Francis Damina – Senior Special Assistant, Research and Documentation.

· Hon Victor Mathew Bobai – Senior Special Assistant, Public Affairs.

· Abdulmutallib Isah – Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties.

· Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim – Special Assistant, Economic Matters.

The statement read: “While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Sani urged them to see the appointments as an opportunity to contribute their quota towards bettering the lives of the poor, vulnerable, and underserved in Kaduna State.

“The governor further urged the appointees to deploy their skills and competencies to help the administration quicken the pace of governance to leave a legacy of inclusive development.”
