After months of alleged pressure by members of his party, the All progressives Congress (APC), Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, finally kicked out the Secretary to the State Government, Engineer Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, and replaced him with Usman Alhaji Usman
The former SSG is reportedly a close confidant and ally of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State who has since parted ways with his successor.
The sack notice was delivered via a radio announcement on Saturday by Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Auwalu Mohammed Naiya, who also revealed that Director General, Media and Communication, Alhaji Halilu Dantiye, had been replaced by Salihu Tanko Yakasai.
Governor Ganduje also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Kankarofi as his new principal private Secretary.
RIPPLES NIGERIA, however, gathered that the exit of the former SSG was trailed by some controversy. Sources close to Kano government house say that Engineer Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, may have resigned his appointment earlier on Friday when he was seen, along with his Personal Assistant, packing all his personal belongings.
