Govs set agenda as they meet Buhari

Published

on

As earlier reported, state governors will today (Tuesday) meet with President Muhammadu Buhari on the state of the economy and a bailout to enable them pay outstanding salaries to workers in most of the states.

Ahead of the meeting however, governors on the platform of the PDP (PDP) met Monday night where they harmonised their agenda.

Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Asishaana Bayo Okauru, briefed the PDP governors on the agenda for the meeting.

According to him, “the briefing of the PDP governors became necessary to ensure that all the governors are on the same page with other governors on their meeting with other governors.”

It was also gathered that the PDP governors intend to bring to the knowledge of the president, the discrimination in bringing some of the governorship tribunals to Abuja, instead of the states where the elections took place.
