Founder of Covenant University Ota, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo has said Nigeria government should be concerned with selling intellectual resources and not national assets.

According to him, the enormous intellectual resources in the country can be marketed globally with the profits from it use to salvage the economy, rather than sale of national assets.

The renowned cleric disclosed this in his keynote address at the weekend during the university’s seventh inaugural lecture series, entitled: ‘Deconstructing the national development agenda: The role of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs)’.

He had said in his address with the theme, ‘Sell intellectual capital, not national asset’, that Nigeria’s desire for foreign goods and services, irrespective of the quality, will never stop to increase, unless both the leadership and the led remain dedicated to the Nigerian project.
