Govt slams Kim Kardashian for endorsing drug

Published

on

Kim Kardashian drew the ire of FDA, the authorities in charge of food and drugs in the USA, when she publicly endorsed a morning sickness drug.
Kim had made some posts on her various social media accounts last month, announcing that she was partnering with a company that makes a morning sickness pills, Diclegis.
The problem is that she only praised the drug’s virtues and not the risks involved in taking the drug as required by the FDA.

In response to that, FDA wrote a scathing letter to the company warning them to stop “misbranding” the drug or they will yank it off the market. They demand the company to get Kim to correct the problem by posting alongside her endorsement the proper warnings.
Kim has since deleted the offending posts off Facebook ad Instagram but is yet to delete the one on Twitter.
The company said they will submit the correct plan to FDA for approval.
