In spite of reports that the Muhammadu Buhari administration plans to float a national carrier, there are indications that it is yet to take a final position on the issue.

The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Aviation, Binta Bello gave this hint in Lagos on Friday at a public forum organised by the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC).

Shedding more light on the issue of the national carrier, she said a committee empowered by the Ministry has since forwarded its report and is awaiting federal government direction on the matter.

On the composition of the ministerial committee, she said it is made up of diverse professionals from both public and private sectors to advise government on the national carrier.
