Grammys 2017: Adele shines, wins 5 awards, breaks one into 2 halves

The 2017 Grammy awards has come and gone but the event was filled with unforgettable memories one of which was the moment when British singer Adele broke one of the awards she won on the night into two halves, sharing the other with Beyonce.

Adele was the star of the night as she carted home five Grammy plaques winning in categories like album, record and song of the year beating Beyoncé in the top three categories with her comeback album “25”.

Beyoncé began the night as the most-nominated artist of 2017 with nine across four genres, but ultimately wound up with two wins on the night: Best Music Video for “Formation” and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade, giving her 22 Grammys in total throughout her career.
