Less than a week after, US opposition, Green Party called for election recount in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, the party led by its leader Jill Stein has decided to change its strategy by seeking help in the federal courts, rather than the state courts.

Recall that the party earlier noted that the move to ensure election recounts was necessary to ensure that voting machines were not hacked, even though there is no evidence that they were.

Reports say the latest strategy change which now seeks an emergency federal court order on Monday for a recount, came hours after it dropped a case in the state courts.

“Make no mistake — the Stein campaign will continue to fight for a statewide recount in Pennsylvania,” recount campaign lawyer Jonathan Abady said in a statement issued around 11:30 p.m.

“We are committed to this fight to protect the civil and voting rights of all Americans.”
