Guardiola confirms Stones interest

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed the club are looking to buy John Stones from Everton.

Stones was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea last summer and he finds himself at the centre of more transfer rumours this year with Guardiola keen to bring him in due to Vincent Kompany’s injury record.

Everton rejected Chelsea’s £30million offer last summer and the Toffees are unlikely to part with the player for less than £50million

“Sane is a player from Schalke. If he comes, we’ll be happy. If he stays, I’ll be happy for the Schalke fans,” Guardiola told reporters.
