Gunmen abduct 2 Chinese in Nasarawa

Gunmen attack HoS Chief Accountant, snatch N9.5m

The Nasarawa State Police Command has announced the abduction of two Chinese in the state.

According to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ismail Noman, the Chinese, who were attached to West African Polaris Investments, were kidnapped in Agada village, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.

Throwing more light on the incident, Noman said XJieng AI Jung, 50 and Wenso Ping, 45, were ambushed by unknown gunmen at about 2.28p.m.on the their way to Abuja.

He added that the gunmen, who wielded sophisticated weapons, are still at large, and that the police had begun investigations to track them.

He added that security operatives in collaboration with vigilante groups, local hunters and community leaders have also been involved in the search for the victims.

The Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, has directed that the search operation team should do everything possible to ensure that the victims are rescued.
