Gunmen abduct five persons in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of five persons by unidentified gunmen in Danbushiya Village in Malali, Kaduna North Local Government Area the state on Saturday.

The gunmen, dressed in military fatique, were said to have blocked the access road to the Babatunde Fashola Housing Estate and intercepted a Honda Accord Reg. No. LND 753 AL and five other vehicles where they kidnapped seven persons.

According to the spokesman of the command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, the gunmen blocked later released two persons after much pressure following the general patrol of the area by crack team of the police.

Sabo added that upon search, $10,000 US Dollars and N647,300 were recovered from one of the vehicles.

He further disclosed that the combined team of the command’s anti-kidnap squad and vigilante have been dispatched to scene for search operation with the view to apprehending the kidnappers.
