Gunmen abduct retired AIG Odumosu’s wife in Ogun

Gunmen have abducted the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu.
The victim was kidnapped from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday in Abeokuta.
She said the kidnappers stormed the residence in a coordinated attack and took away the retired police officer’s wife who was about to enter the building in her Lexus Jeep.

Odutola said: “The victim was dragged out of the vehicle and taken through a swampy area to an unknown location.
“The divisional police officer has led a team of officers to the scene where they are currently searching the swampy bush area.
“The Baale of Warewa and Maaba have been contacted to also deploy local security forces to the riverine area.”
