Gunmen abduct varsity lecturer in Adamawa

A lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, Adamawa State, Prof. Felix Ilesani, has been kidnapped.

Ilesani, who is also the chaplain of Trinity Chapel, located on the main campus of the university, was abducted by unknown gunmen on Thursday night.

He was picked by his kidnappers at his residence inside the staff quarters of the university campus in Girei, headquarters of Girei local government area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the lecturer’s abduction. He said the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the university reported the matter to the police.
