Gunmen invade Rivers community, 10 people shot dead

Tragedy struck at Mgbosimiri, Agip axis of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, as unknown gunmen invaded the area killing no less than 10 people, including a couple.

The reason not identity of the early Monday morning invaders remain a mystery as the police say they have commenced investigations.

The town was thrown into confusion as people hid in fear for dear lives, as sounds gunshots filled the air.

State Police Public Relations Officers, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident, but could offer no further details as at the time of this report.
