A judge at Appeal Court, Benin, Edo State, Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme, was kidnapped on Wednesday by unknown gunmen.

It was gathered that the gunmen killed her police orderly before whisking Justice Nwosu-Iheme to an unknown destination.

The development followed the abduction of the Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Hospital, Prof. Sylvanus Okogbeini, over a month ago while traveling to Benin City to board a flight to Abuja.

Ripples Nigeria gathered Justice Nwosu-Iheme was trailed and intercepted in her vehicle along the Benin-Agbor road near Christ Chosen Church after NNPC Brain deport.

The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Danmallam, who confirmed the incident, said police had deployed its men to rescue the judge.

“A judge was kidnapped today in Benin City but security measures are in place to rescue her and bring the hoodlums to book by the power of the Almighty God,” Danmallam said.
