There is panic in Abuja following sounds of gunshots after protesting members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) on Tuesday returned to the streets, demanding the release of their leader El-Zakzaky.

Reports say the IMN protesters who were earlier dispersed by the police had started regrouping around Wuse zone 2.

Eyewitnesses say security operatives are still on the hunt for some members of the group who sought cover at the Bannex Plaza in the FCT.
