Eden Hazard has finally featured for Real Madrid in the La Liga as the Belgian played as a substitute in their 3-2 win over Levante on Saturday.

The former Chelsea player, who joined the Spanish giants at the start of the season, had missed games due to injury.

He started off on the bench at the Bernabeu, but came on in the 60th minute for Casemiro, who scored Real’s third after a double by Karim Benzema.

Real almost blew a three-goal lead in La Liga for the first time since 1946 as the visitors put up a spectacular fight in the second half.

Benzema opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a header before slotting home a James Rodriguez pass to double the lead

Casemiro netted five minutes before halftime to put Real on a commanding lead in to the second 45.

But Borja Mayoral scored against his parent club early in the second half and then Gonzalo Melero set up a tense ending with a header that beat Thibaut Courtois at his near post.

Levante pushed for an equaliser late on but Ruben Vezo’s header in injury time was turned away by an instinctive Courtois save.

Real have lost two games and won two, and sit on second spot in La Liga behind Atletico Madrid, who play Real Sociedad later.
