Herdsmen kill 5 as Buhari visits Plateau

Not minding the presence of President Muhammadu Buhari in Plateau State, suspected herdsmen, launched an attack and killed no less than five persons in Nzharuvo village of Miango, Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

Buhari had traveled to the state on an official two-day visit and was still around when the incident took place.

Channels quoted the president of Irigwe Youth movement, Chinge Dodo, as saying that two people were killed instantly in the attack while three others who are siblings died in the hospital.

The three siblings, whose family name was given as Joseph, are twin brothers, Emmanuel and Christopher Joseph aged 16 years, and their younger sister, Peace Joseph, aged six.

The Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Tyopev Mathias, is said to have told the TV station that they are yet to receive any complaints from the affected area.
