Hillary Clinton denies husband was critical of Obama

Democratic presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton has denied her husband, former President Bill Clinton, was critical of President Barack Obama in a recent statement.

Former President Clinton had in an appearance in a West Coast appearance earlier this month, commented that his wife was best qualified to help America emerge from eight agonizing years.

However, Hillary Clinton, in an appearance late Thursday on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” said that wasn’t what her husband was talking about.

“It wasn’t. It obviously wasn’t,” she said. “He nominated President Obama for his second term.”

Bill Clinton’s comment was seen by many as a shot across Obama’s bow.

According to Hillary Clinton, her husband was referring, instead, to “this implacable wall of hostility from Republicans” to Obama’s agenda over his nearly eight years in office.

Clinton has a comfortable delegate lead over rival Sen. Bernie Sanders in the race for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.
