Holders Cameroon stay top of AFCON group after draw with Ghana

Defending champions Cameroon were held to a goalless draw by the Black Stars of Ghana on Saturday at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

With the draw, the Indomitable Lions remain top of Group F, having won their opening game 2-0 against Guinea Bissau.

The five-time winners last played Ghana in the competition at the 2017 edition, where they defeated the Black Stars 2-0 in the semi-finals.

Clarence Seedorf’s side are two points clear at the top of the group even after the other game of the group between Benin and Guinea-Bissau ended draw.

The Lions close in to round of 16, as ith four of the six third-placed teams will qualify for the knockout stage.
