After Hollywood invite, Kannywood may reconsider ban on actress
Just when things seem to be going down the drain for Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau following her expulsion from the Hausa film industry for reportedly featuring in a compromising scene in a romantic music video by Jos born singer, ClassiQ, things are now looking up for the actress.
Less than 24-hours after she was invited by international music star, Akon, and US-based Nigerian film-maker, Jeta Amata, to visit the set of their new film in Hollywood – Los Angeles, there seems now to be hope that her expulsion may be lifted.
A week after actor Ali Nuhu, said that the role Rahama played in the said video violated the codes and ethics of Kannywood, Ali has now come out to say that her expulsion was unfair.
Speaking to Channels TV in an interview, Ali said her expulsion is being reviewed and her ban may be lifted.
“I think that her expulsion is too rigid. If it was like giving her a warning or placing her on suspension, I can understand but expelling someone from her profession, I don’t think it’s fair. I have spoken to some Excos of Kannywood. I think they are going to reconsider it,” he said.
