Hoodlums attack APC secretariat in Zamfara

There was confusion at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Secretariat in Zamfara State, following an attack by suspected hoodlums.

Reports say the rampaging vandals destroyed property worth millions of Naira, including billboards, posters and windows during the attack.

The Chairman of the Security Committee of the party, Gusau, Abdullahi Tsafe while speaking with newmen on Wednesday revealed that the attack by the hoodlums took place on Monday and Tuesday.

According to Tsafe who noted that the matter had been reported to the police, the hoodlums also destroyed property at the Central Zonal office of the party and other offices across the state.

“I believe they must have acted on it by now.

“If our members reacted to that it would create problem, but APC as law abiding political party, we always caution our members to be law abiding and shun political violence,” he said.

The ugly incident was also confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Muhammad Shehu who said that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Nagogo had already visited the scenes of the incident and ordered an investigation into the matter.
