House of Reps to abort recess over xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in S/Africa
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Tuesday said the House may reconvene over the issue of unwarranted attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
The Speaker, who spoke via his twitter handle on Tuesday, also indicated his readiness to abort his trip to Tanzania to return to Nigeria in order to discuss the issue with his colleagues in the House.

Gbajabiamila said: “I will be cutting short my trip to Tanzania for the 50th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference CPA Secretariat and will be leaving today, for the leadership of the House to consider cutting short the recess and reconvening for one day to address the killings of Nigerians in South Africa.
Recall that Gbajabiamila led a parliamentary delegation to South Africa in the wake of the last xenophobic attack against Nigerians in the 8th Assembly.
