How 2019 Presidency divided Igbo leaders

Published

on

Igbo leaders have continued to bare their minds on what they think is the role the South-East region should play ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Some of the leaders who spoke to South-East Voice in Owerri, were divided over which political party the Igbo should support especially for the 2019 presidential election.

According to the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSSOB, Uchenna Madu, whether Buhari wins or loses, an Igbo man would not be allowed to produce the next president of Nigeria.

He also lashed out at the Secretary to Federal Government of Nigeria, SGF, for saying that the only option for Igbo to have a shot at the presidency was to support Buhari for re-election in 2019.
