How Keshi pushed us to AFCON title in 2013 –Emenike

African Cup of Nations 2013 highest goal scorer, Emmanuel Emenike, has said encouragement from the technical crew of the team led by late Stephen Keshi, was the main reason why they won the competition in South Africa.

Speaking with New Telegraph correspondent in Lagos during the week, Emenike who is in the country for his pet project, Emmanuel Emenike Future XI, said Keshi always told them they were the best in their various positions.

According to him, they were very committed to the National team and worked together as a family before and during the competition in South Africa.

It would be recalled that the partnership of Emenike and Brown Ideye produced most goals scored by the team in South Africa with Emenike emerging top scorer of the championships with five goals.

The former Olympiakos of Greece striker revealed that he had a family-like relationship with Ideye and that resulted in the results on the field of play.
