Hurricane Buhari sweeps NAFDAC, SON, BPE, 17 other DGs out of office.

In what definitely qualifies as a sweeping onslaught of appointees of former President Goodluck Jonathan, the Presidency, on Monday announced the sacking of 20 heads of federal parastatals and agencies.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, had earlier in the day announced the sacking of 6 heads of Parastatals under his ministry. This brings to a total of 26 in one day.

A statement from the Presidency, announcing the sacking of the chief executive officers of the parastatals and agencies reads as follows:

1. The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate disengagement of the following Chief Executive Officers of the underlisted Parastatals, Agencies and Commissions.

2.​He has also approved that the most senior officers in the Parastatals, Agencies and Councils oversee the activities of the organizations pending the appointment of substantive Chief Executive Officers.

(ix) Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board(NCDMB)

(xi) Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)
(xii) National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)
(xiii) Petroleum Equalization Fund
(xiiii) Nigeria Railways Corporation (NRC)
