I almost sold my valuables when I fell on tough times- Comedian Seyi Law

Popular Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, aka Seyilaw has revealed in a post on Instagram that he considered selling off his valuable property when he fell on hard times.

The humour merchant, in the post on social media, informed that he contemplated stopping his annual comedy shows and also considered selling some of his landed property.

He said, “God is my rock and my refuge whom shall I fear. Our testimony is huge and no man can share in the glory of what God did, is doing and is going to do. Tears of Joy filled my eyes and my mouth is in awe of God’s faithfulness. All the people and brand that I have worked for seem to have abandoned me this year. I travelled out of Nigeria for my shows, had a great show but lost a lot of money.

“My heart raced, my home was shaky, but I kept faith. I contemplated stopping my shows and selling some of our lands, but you know God reminded me of the word He gave me in November 2017. In May, just about a month to buying this house, I had just N63k in my account, having invested in my shows and by my 35th Birthday on the 22nd June 2018, God did what only him could have done.

“If your heart is in a troubled place, there is a God who is Jehovah Shalom. He knows and if you can trust him, he will do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever imagine. Your help is in God and not man, for Him alone can and will speak to the hearts of the men that he has chosen for you. Trust in Him alone. Praise God for me.”

Recall last year that Seyi Law and controversial media personality, Kemi Olunloyo both decided to settle over a lingering rift between them which became public after Kemi called his daughter (Tiwa) obese.

Kemi took to her Instagram page, sharing a video of her showing a picture of Tiwa saying she had forgiven her dad and noted that she will not taint her (Tiwa’s) childhood with bickering and hate.

“Special message for Tiwa @seyilaw1’s daughter… Seyi blocked me after the beef started yet he talks about me to all media and I can’t read his postings about me except on Lilian’s @lnstablog9ja or way too many tagging me,” Kemi wrote.

The blogger also added that; “Seyi you are now free to go in peace. May God bless Tiwa. She will read this one day. When I become 73yo, she will be 20yo on the internet. I will not taint her childhood with bickering and hate. I respect myself as a social critic. Nigerians do not understand that concept of asking a Journalist to contact celebrities privately. It is not done. We use public figures to illustrate many things. Obesity leads to high blood pressure, Diabetes, heart disease and more. It will not be in your portion IJN.”

After reading her message, Seyi Law also took to Instagram penning a long message in reply to Kemi.

He said he is happy that both of them can now put the saga behind them and also informed that he is sorry for saying so many negative things about her during their heated exchange on social media at the time.
