‘I am a toll collector for Anambra gov’t, not a murderer’

A suspect arrested by the police in Anambra State over last year’s killing of one Ndubisi Nwokolo in Onitsha has denied culpability in the crime.

The suspect, Ikechukeu Udensi alias Ikanda, said he was not a criminal but a toll collector for the state government.

Udensi, an indigene of Azia town in Ihiala LGA of the state, told journalists after he was paraded that he works with one Linus Ezechukwu and others collecting tolls for the government of the state.

“I did not kill Ndubisi Nwokolo. I was called that the boys helping me to collect toll killed somebody. I was never involved in the killing or instructed any person to kill him,” he said
