I am still APC guber candidate in Cross River —Minster of N/Delta

Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Uguru Usani has insisted he’s the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.

Uguru rests on a December 13, 2018 judgement by Justice O. A Musa, but an FCT High court ruling by Olukayode Adeniyi, on Monday upheld the election of John Enoh as the party’s candidate.

Usani through the Director-General of his campaign organisation, Pastor Ene Cobham, argued that only an Appeal Court could set aside the December 13, 2018 judgement and his opponent was served a notice of appeal.

Cobham explains, “as we speak, Pastor Uguru Usani remains the authentic governorship candidate of APC in Cross River State despite the flag given in error to Senator John Owan Enoh.”

He noted that an Abuja High Court presided over by Justice O. A. Musa, dissolved the State Working Committee of APC in the state headed by the late Matthew Achigbe and ordered the National Working Committee of the party and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to receive all candidates that emerged from the Godwin John-led State Executive of the party for the general election.

His words: “The Tuesday ruling by Justice Olukayode of Abuja High Court 23, in suit FHC/HC/CV/3009 is a mere distraction as no order was given to anybody.”

Cobham urged supporters to remain calm as the campaign council would soon begin its campaign across the state.
