The Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade has revealed his position on the appointment of older people into his kitchen cabinet moving forward as the leader of the state.

Governor Ayade who spoke to newsmen in Calabar on Thursday said he will no longer appoint people older than himself into serious positions of responsibility into his government.

Ayade revealed that much while explaining why it was taking him many weeks to name his commissioners and other appointees since he was inaugurated for a second term on May 29.

He said it was not in his nature to talk harshly to his seniors, the reason he said he was unable to shout at older members of his government in his first term.

“I am looking for younger people to appoint into my government. I will no longer appoint older people. I need younger people so that I can shout at them in order to fast track my government,” he explained.
