A former Gombe State governor, Danjuma Goje, said on Sunday he would not contest for any elective position again.
Goje, who is the chairman of Senate Committee on Maritime, stated this during his empowerment outreach at the Pantami Stadium in the state.
The ex-governor, however, said he was not resigning from politics.
The senator expressed gratitude to God over his senatorial position and for his past political positions as governor, commissioner and minister.
He said: “I will be involved in all political activities but will not contest for any elective position in the future. I’m grateful to God.
