I won’t defect from APC, says House Deputy Speaker

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Lasun Yussuff has reiterated his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he will not dump the ruling party.

Yussuff, who lost his bid for the APC ticket to run for governor in Osun State’s September 22 election, expreseed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the primary but said he would not chllamge it.

Speaking to The Nation on the sideline of a workshop organised by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA) Resource Center for members and staff of House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes in Abuja yesterday, Yussuff also condemend the impeachment notice served on Benue state Governor Samuel Orton by eight members of the House of Assembly.

The deputy speaker also said he would not engage in anti-party activities but would not stop those who might want to undermine it.
