The Commandant of the Oyo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps, Retired Col. Olayinka Olayanju, has declared that Ibarapaland is safe and has been ridden of criminal elements terrorizing the indigenes.
Recently, the area was hit by herders/farmers crisis leading to deaths.

Mr Olayanju, in a statement on Monday, in Ibadan, the Oyo capital city said no security crisis has been recorded in the area, adding that the indigenes and residents are safe.
He also debunked some audio and video posts on social media, which tend to raise what he called “clearly unfounded alarms” about the Ibarapa security situation.
“No security challenges observed in Ibarapa Central and North contrary to rumours been peddled,” Olayanju stated.
