Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice and was awarded man of the match as his side defeated West Brom 2-0 at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
In just 5 minutes into the game, Jesse Lingard, bursting down the right-hand side on to a long ball, swung in a perfect cross on the half-volley for Zlatan Ibrahimovic arriving at the far post, who puts a simple header past Ben Foster to put the visitors ahead.
But despite the early United goal, West Brom had much of the possession and continued to look the more settled of the two sides in midfield before half time.
At the 56th minute, Rooney drives in front the left and finds Ibrahimovic on the corner of the box. Ibrahimovic then cuts inside with a quick scoop between two defenders before firing a heavily deflected shot past Ben Foster from 15 yards, to make 2-0 for the Reds.
The win against West Brom makes it three in a row for United, who are now level on points with Tottenham, until they play Burnley on Sunday. West Brom however remain seventh with a significant seven points gap from top six.
