After a disappointing season in the English Premier League, West Brom striker Brown Ideye has joined Greek champions Olympiacos for an undisclosed fee.

The Nigeria international joined Albion last summer from Dynamo Kyiv for a then club record £10million but struggled to make an impression.

The deal for the 26-year-old was finalised in time for him to be registered for the Champions League campaign.

Ideye is set to make a swift return to England as Olympiacos tackle Arsenal in the group stages.

He had been set to sign for Qatar-based club Al-Gharafa on the final day of the January transfer window, only for the deal to fall through.

Ideye then netted four times in his next three appearances for the club.

But his only appearance this season was in last week’s Capital One Cup clash with Port Vale, when he was substituted after 57 minutes.

In total, he made 31 appearances in all competitions for Albion, scoring seven times.
