Ighalo hat-trick as Super Eagles thrash Libya to boost AFCON qualification chances

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo scored thrice as the team thrashed Libya 4-0 in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

Samuel Kalu also scored for Nigeria in the game played at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

The win saw the Super Eagles move to second position in the Group E of the qualifiers with six points, sitting behind South Africa who defeated Seychelles 6-O in the other group’s fixture.

They face Libya again next Tuesday for the reverse fixture billed to take place in Tunisia.
