Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo has continued to impress in front of goal at his Chinese Super League club, Changchun Yatai.

The 29-year-old striker scored his 17th goal in 22 League appearances on Saturday, as his club returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over 10-man Guizhou Zhicheng.

It was Changchun Yatai’s first win in four league outings following a draw and two defeats from their previous three games.

The other goals of the game were scored by Nemanja Pejčinović and Adrian Mierzejewski.

Ighalo, who scored for the national team of Nigeria in their 3-0 win over Seychelles last weekend in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Victoria, is in the running for the Golden boot in the Chinese topflight.

He is now joint top scorer with Guangzhou R&F’s Eran Zahavi – and they both trail by three goals to Wu Lei of Shanghai SPIG, who tops the chart with 20 goals.
