Ighalo’s debut game with Shanghai Shenhua ends in defeat

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo made his debut with Shanghai Shenhua on Friday and it was a disappointing one as his side lost 4-0 at home.

Shenhua were beaten by champions Shanghai SPIG in their opening day clash of the Chinese Super League (CSL) season at the Hongkou Stadium.

Ighalo, who moved to the club from relegated Changchun Yatai last month, was on from start to finish of the encounter.

An own goal by Freddy Guarin and goals from Lu Wenjun, Oscar and Odil Akhmedov secured the emphatic win for the visitors.
