Iheanacho congratulates former teammates on Carabao Cup success

Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has congratulated his former club and teammates, Manchester City, over their Carabao Cup triumph.

Iheanacho left the Pep Guardiola side for Leicester at the start of this season after he could not play regularly in Manchester.

The Etihad club thrashed Arsenal 3-0 in the final of the League Cup at Wembley stadium on Sunday, to lift their first out of three possible titles this season.

Argentina striker, Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the first half, before Vincent Kompany and David Silva took the game out of reach for the Gunners in the second half.

Hours after the victory, Iheanacho posted a picture of the team celebrating in the dressing room on his Instagram page and wrote, “Congrats to the #sharkboys @mancity #sharkteam @10aguerosergiokun @vincentkompany @david2ilva ”

But fans may not have taken his gesture lightly, as the several comments that followed the photo insinuated the Nigeria International should focus on Leicester City and take his mind off his former side.
