Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho grabbed an assist in his first game for Leicester City, as they beat German side, Borussia Mönchengladbach, 2-1 on Friday.

The 20-year old had just completed a £25 million move from Manchester City on Thursday and was on display for the former Premier League champions in the friendly.

The Foxes came from one goal down to snatch the victory in their last pre-season friendly, played at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho, who came in as a substitute in the second half, replacing Shinji Okazaki, was however also replaced by Leonardo Ulloa after being injured.

After a goalless first half, Monchengladbach took the lead in the 46th minute after Hazard smashed in an effort from 18 yards.

English striker, Jamie Vardy, then scored in the 67th minute to bring Leicester back on level terms, before scoring his second goal on 74 minutes after finishing off Iheanacho’s assist following superb build-up play.

With the pre-season finally over, Leicester will begin their 2017-18 campaign next Friday when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
