Iheanacho outshines Ronaldo to win CNN Goal of the Week

Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has made a return to Manchester City’s squad for the pre-season tour of China and Germany after being granted travelling visas.

The teenage striker was omitted from Pep Guardiola’s Far East 32-man squad announced on Tuesday over complications with his paperwork.

Iheanacho scored 14 goals in just 10 starts last season and is now desperate to use the platform of the International Champions Cup to show he can continue to impress against elite opposition.

Guardiola takes charge of his first City game on Wednesday evening when they face his former club Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and he planned to use Iheanacho, with Sergio Aguero still away on holiday until Sunday.

He will be eager to impress new boss Pep Guardiola and will battle for a starting spot in the side alongside Aguero, Wilfred Bony and new signing Nolito.

Youngster Tosin Adarabioyo, born to Nigerian parents, is also on the list.
