A psychiatrist should examine me, should I join Obasanjo’s CNM –Soyinka

The Nobel laureate and respected playwright, Professor Wole Soyinka, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is in a trance and that he would tell him that if he meets with him (Buhari).

The professor stated this during a press briefing on the heightened security situation in the country which has seen armed herdsmen killing innocent Nigerians uninhibited.

Responding on a question on what he would tell Buhari if he meets him, Soyinka replied, “I will say Mr. President you are in a trance.”

According to him, the earlier Buhari gets out of the trance, the better for the nation.

Explaining the form of trance the President was in, he said, “I don’t know. So many unforced errors. Take for instance the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf, reinstated by the President.

“What is that about? What is going on?”
