I'm fine, Abati says after 12days in EFCC custody
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Friday night released a former spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan after keeping him in their custody for about 12 days.
Abati told Ripples Nigeria on phone shortly after his release that he is doing fine.

Abati was taken into custody on October 25 by the anti-graft agencies on allegations of having received N50 million from embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki.

Sources at the agency had then said that Mr. Abati admitted receiving the money  from Dasuki and explained how he spent it.

Mr. Abati reportedly told investigators that he spent the N50 million on media relations that had to do with his work as media adviser for Mr. Jonathan.

But when asked for evidence of how the money was spent, he reportedly said media relations details were never documented.

Sincerely Nigerians are fools. Efcc custody is like a hotel where you receive special treatment. They do eat the food they want to eat, read newspapers, watch TV and sleep anytime they like. I am talking from experience, during the 600m naira Abba Moro immigration stuff that efcc arrested Abba Moro and other three directors and they claimed they kept them in kuje prison in Abuja, one of the director is a member of my family but I won’t mention his name. When we got there to greet him , that was when I knew that all efcc does outside to show us on screen is just paparazzi. They don’t treat them at all as criminals. The only thing is that they don’t have access to go places. But sincerely, I will prefer to stay in such efcc custody than to wallow in poverty outside.
So Reuben Abati knew why he said he is fine.

So one of your family members are part of Nigeria looters. Thanks for sharing that experience with us.
Though I know it’s not possible for rich man prison and poor man prison to be alike. So if you are poor in life, sorry is your name.

Reuben Abati should go for immediate medical check up. “I’m fine” was the same word Baba Suwe said when he left EFCC custody, now he’s very sick!

Don’t trust Abati until he releases another article, he’ll surely address his experience with the EFCC

Money spent on media relations, the details were never documented. Welcome to my country, we take almost everything for granted. You’re using public funds without proper accounts.
