Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known in music circles as 2face Idibia, has reacted to the out of court settlement he had with his former band mate, Blackface, over a song theft suit filed before the Ikeja High Court.

Speaking for the first time after reaching the out of court settlement with Balckface, 2face, who now prefers to be referred to as 2Baba, said he was glad that the matter had been finally laid to rest, signalling an end to a long standing beef between the pair.

In a post on social media said; “I’m happy and relieved that this matter has been settled and Efe Omorogbe and I are satisfied with the outcome. I can’t thank family, friends and fans enough for their steadfast love and support. Thanks also to our lawyer, Mr. Justin Ige. Blessings to one and all; God bless Blackface too. Time to move on…”

Reports say the pair later signed an undisclosed settlement agreement on Wednesday at the Ikeja High Court after the suit was dropped with Blackface agreeing not to publicly call out 2Baba over the matter again.

In the agreement, 2Baba also decided to work out an agreement that will enable Blackface earn royalties from the songs he wrote for his former Plantaishun Boiz band member.

Blackface had dragged 2Baba to court over song theft allegations claiming his former band mate stole and denied him royalties for his hit song titled ‘African Queen’ which turned out to be the break-out song for the singer married to Annie Idibia.
