IMMIGRATION BAN: Trump lashes court system, says it’s endangering Americans
Moments after a US Court of Appeal denied an appeal application filed by the US justice department seeking to unblock a travel ban on seven mainly Muslim countries, President Donald Trump has lashed the American court system saying it is endangering the country.
After an unusually long silence, Trump took to Twitter to say he could not “believe a judge would put our country in such peril”, arguing that the court system was making it “very difficult” to secure the country.

The emergency appeal, to unblock the travel ban was filed by the Justice Department late Saturday, asserting Trump’s constitutional authority to order a temporary ban on immigration and says the judge’s Friday ruling “second-guesses the president’s national security judgment.”
The department’s request to reinstate the ban, part of the appeal, was rejected by the court, which set Sunday and Monday for the two sides to submit legal arguments.
After signing the controversial executive order which was later blocked by US District Judge James Robart, Trump has been been greeted with severe political backlash with his travel ban order driving numerous mass protests across America.
